KEY STAGE 2
Field trips provide cross-curricular benefits and help children to develop their key skills and their knowledge and understanding of the world. Activities cover elements of science, geography, history and art, and build on literacy and numeracy.
Field trips also offer an excellent opportunity for personal and social education, in particular development of communication and teamwork skills.
In addition to curriculum based activities, the nearby Brecon Beacons National Park offers a wide choice of outdoor pursuits and we are well placed for a visit to the award winning Big Pit Mining Museum.
Our friendly and experienced tutors are on hand to help plan and teach fieldwork activities. We are happy to provide information about local activity providers and attractions to assist in the development of a varied programme of activities to suit your requirements.

REVIEWS
What the teachers say:
‘Thank you for your hospitality and for the interesting activities you laid on during our visit. The children have been writing about their special memories and many of them have said they’ll always remember the trip to Abergavenny – and I’m sure they will! Such visits mean so much to children of this age and I know they enjoyed everything about the centre.’
